Special K Bars

1/2 cup Karo syrup (light)
1/2 cup sugar (regular white)
Mix together and bring just to a boil.
Remove from heat and add 1 cup of peanut butter (I use Jiff Chunky). Mix together and stir in 3 cups of Special K, mix thoroughly.
Pat into bottom of 9x13 pan.
For the frosting, I use a mix of semi-sweet chocolate chips and butterscotch chips. I like a lot of frosting, so I usually do about 1 1/2 cups of chocolate and 1/2 to 3/4 cup of butterscotch but you can vary according to your own taste. Combine chips together in a bowl or big glass measuring cup and microwave for about 1 minute or so, until melted and can be blended together when stirred. Spread over bars.
I don't make these too often, though, because my family will eat the whole pan in one day :)
